Your baby’s first birthday is a huge milestone – a day full of smiles, laughter, and memories you’ll want to treasure forever. A smash cake photo session is the perfect way to celebrate this special moment, and at Martyna Photography in Luton, I’ll help you capture it beautifully.

What’s Included in a Smash Cake Session?

My cake smash sessions are designed to be fun, relaxed, and completely tailored to you. Each session includes:

1. Family Photos – We begin with a few portraits of the whole family. It’s a lovely way to start and makes for a timeless keepsake.

2. Portraits of the Birthday Baby – Before things get messy, I take a few sweet portraits of your little one in their birthday outfit.

3. The Cake Smash! – This is where the fun begins! Your baby gets to explore, touch, taste (and smash!) their cake, while I capture all those joyful, messy moments.

4. Splash Time – After the cake, we finish with some adorable shots in a mini bathtub. It’s not only cute but also helps clean up after the smash!

I Provide Cute Outfits for Your Little One

To make things easier for parents, I have a lovely selection of baby outfits available in the studio – perfect for both the portrait and smash parts of the session. Whether you’re looking for something sweet and simple or a bit more themed, there’s something for everyone. You’re also more than welcome to bring your own special outfit if you prefer!

Personalised Setups Just for You

I prepare all the decorations based on your preferences – from balloons, the number “1”, or the letters “ONE”, to the colour scheme or a specific theme you choose (like woodland, boho, pastel, safari, etc.). You select the style that fits your vision, and I’ll take care of the rest.

Important Info About the Cake

Please note: the cake is not included – parents need to bring one with them. A 6-inch cake works best – not too big, soft in texture, and ideally with light frosting (babies love soft sponge!).
